And this is how it all began: "Welcome to Querfunk, I'm Sanaz Saleh-Ebrahimi, I'm from Iran and today, I'll teach you a little bit about our culture..."

My first on-air words working for "Free Radio Karlsruhe" – in German, of course – are still fresh on my mind. I was so nervous, if I had not written down every single word of it, I would have probably forgotten my own name. But I was hooked. And I wanted more, especially: learn more. So I went to University in Dortmund, studied science journalism, did a traineeship at Germany's public broadcaster ZDF and became an editor and reporter there, working on nutrition and health issues for different TV magazines.  I produced several documentaries and also worked for several year on screen: for ZDF, but also for other broadcaster's like WDR, rbb and n-tv – as a news-anchor as well as a reporter. I won several awards and scholarships for my work.

Since 2015, I've been living and working in Berlin, as a freelance journalist, as a host and presenter. In 2024, I started to create my own videos about nutrition, health and lies of the food industry for my own channels on Instagram and TikTok. After a few months, I have more than 200.000 followers and regularly publish public interest videos on important issues.
